The Sniper Rifle

snipe.jpg

The sniper rifle is a comfused term. Many people think that the sniper rifle is a distinct type of rifle. In reality, a sniper rifle is simply the gun that the sniper is using.  the average muzzle velocity is 2500 feet per second. Sniper rifles also have bull barrles. Weight is not that big of an issue with a sniper rifle because most of them are meant to be fired from the ground or from a bipod. Sniper rifles have a longer barrel and the caliber is bigger. Sniper bullets generally have more gunpowder so that they can be fired faster and greater distances. One of the major part of the sniper rifle is... THE SCOPE. The scope is what allows the user to see what he is shoooting even fron a great distance away. Good scopes have night vision and zooming teliscope in it.
